unsere Eltern kamen damals her als Gastarbeiter,

die meisten kamen aus dem Dorf oder aus einer Kleinstadt,
in ein fremdes Land, namens Almanya,
es war nicht wie in Istanbul oder in Antalya,
trotz allem hatten sie im Gesicht den einen Lächeln,
doch konnten kein deutsch sprechen nur nicken und arbeiten,
sie mussten stark bleiben und das tun was der Deutsche sagt,
auch wenn sie nichts verstanden haben, hauptsache deutsche Marken,
hauptsache der deutsche Staat war mit der Arbeit zufrieden,
sie hatten gut gespart und fingen an das Land zu lieben,
natürlich haben sie auch ihr eigenes Land vermisst doch,
sie blieben tapfer und wussten, dass es hier anders ist,
anders als in der Türkei ein anderes Erlebnis,
wie jeder Türke kaufte Papa sich ein Mercedes,
und wenn sie im Sommer Urlaub hatten,
ist er mit der Familie in die Heimat Urlaub machen,
6 Wochen Sommerferien und wieder friedlich da sein,
zurück nach Almanya und wieder an die Arbeit.

wir haben verschiedene Kulturen doch sind hier aufgewachsen,
ich hab zwar kein Abschluss doch wenigstens kann ich Autos knacken,
ihr habt mich so gemacht, ich weiß wo meine Heimat ist,
ich weiß, dass es nicht einfach ist für uns, doch ich bin hier zuhaus.
