e l' acqua fredda in faccia cancella già i tuoi sogni
e col bisogno annega la speranza
e mentre la dolcezza del sonno si allontana,
inizia la tua vita quotidiana...
E subito ti affanni in cose in cui non credi,
la testa piena di vacanze ed ozio
e non sono peggiori i mali dei rimedi,
la malattia è la noia del lavoro:
fatiche senza scopo, furiose e vane corse,
angosce senza un forse, senza un dopo,
un giorno dopo l' altro il tuo deserto annuale,
con le oasi in ferragosto e per Natale,
ma anno dopo anno, li conti e sono tanti
quei giorni nella vita che hai davanti..
Ipocrisie leggere, rabbie da poco prezzo,
risposte argute date sempre tardi,
saluti caldi d' ansia, di noia o di disprezzo
o senza che s' incrocino gli sguardi,
le usate confidenze di malattie o di sesso
dove ciascuno ascolta sol se stesso:
finzioni naturali in cui ci adoperiamo
per non sembrar di esser quel che siamo.
Consolati pensando che inizia e già è finita
questa che tutti i giorni è la tua vita...
Amori disperati, amori fatti in fretta,
consumati per rabbia o per dovere
che spengono in stanchezza con una sigaretta
i desideri nati in tante sere,
amori fatti in furia, ridicolo contrasto,
dopo quei film di fasto e di lussuria,
rivincita notturna dove, per esser vero,
l' uno tradisce l' altro col pensiero:
son questi che tu vedi, che vivi e che hai d' attorno
gli amori della vita d' ogni giorno...
Le tue paure assidue, le gioie solitarie,
i drammi che commuovon te soltanto,
le soluzioni ambigue, i compromessi vari,
glorie vantate poi di tanto in tanto,
i piccoli malanni sempre più numerosi,
più dolorosi col passar degli anni,
la lotta vuota e vana, patetico tentare
di rimandare un poco la vecchiaia...
E poi ti trovi vecchio e ancor non hai capito
che la vita quotidiana ti ha tradito...
