Troppo spesso la donna colpita da questa bizzarra quanto innocua patologia ha sofferto dell'ostilita' dei conoscenti, quanto del discredito che certa cattiva stampa ha gettato sul simpatico sciaquone (evento peraltro abbastanza diffuso presso certe popolazioni). Ecco che Elio e le Storie Tese dicono 'basta' a questa criminalizzazione, e si propongono come ideali continuatori di un'usanza - il ciclo mensile appunto - che si perde nella notte dei tempi e rischiava di scomparire a causa dell'insensibilita' dei piu'; quella stessa insensibilita' che aveva generato negli anni 50 il binomio 'mestruazioni - disagio' e che cede il passo oggi ad una visione piu' completa e rassicurante, in virtu' della quale "quei giorni" vengono vissuti come un momento di fantasia, gioia, intimita', colore.
