Paul Mazzolini, noto come Gazebo, nasce a Beirut il 18 febbraio 1960. La sua infanzia è segnata da un'esistenza nomade, tra diverse culture e lingue, influenzando profondamente la sua visione artistica. Dopo aver vissuto in vari paesi, nel 1974 torna in Italia per completare gli studi. Trascorre poi due anni a Londra, dove inizia a formare gruppi musicali e definisce il suo percorso artistico. Tornato a Roma nel 1981, incontra Paolo Micioni, un ex DJ alla ricerca di nuovi talenti. Insieme intraprendono l'avventura di una produzione indipendente. Il loro primo brano, "Masterpiece", diventa rapidamente popolare nelle discoteche e grazie alla Baby Records raggiunge le classifiche dance di tutto il mondo.
