Jean Ferrat, nato Jean Tenenbaum (1930-2010), è stato uno dei cantautori francesi più amati e influenti del XX secolo. Nato a Lione da una famiglia ebrea, la sua musica ha sempre riflettuto un profondo impegno sociale e politico. Dopo aver iniziato come musicista di jazz, Ferrat si è dedicato alla canzone d'autore negli anni '60, trovando successo con brani come "La Montagne" e "Auprès de mon arbre". La sua voce calda e potente, accompagnata da testi poetici e riflessivi, hanno conquistato il pubblico francese. Ferrat ha affrontato temi come la guerra, la povertà, l'amore e la libertà, diventando un simbolo di resistenza e speranza per molti.
