Satyres joufflus, boucs émissaires, gargouilles émues, fières gorgones,
Laissez ma couronne aux sorcières et mes chimères à la licorne.
Soudain les arbres frissonnent
Car Lucifer en personne
Fait une courte apparition,
L'air tellement accablé
Qu'on lui donnerait volontiers
Le Bon Dieu sans confession,
S'il ne laissait, malicieux,

Devant ses yeux maléfiques
