Klaus Nomi, nato Klaus Sperber (Berlino, 1944 – New York, 1983), è stato un cantante tedesco noto per il suo stile teatrale e la voce contralto potente. Nato in Germania, si trasferì a New York negli anni '70 dove iniziò a esibirsi nei locali underground della città. La sua musica, una fusione di synth pop, art rock e cabaret, era caratterizzata da testi spesso provocatori e un'estetica teatrale che richiamava l'epoca del Bauhaus. Nomi collaborò con artisti come David Bowie e Brian Eno, e il suo album di debutto, "Klaus Nomi", uscì nel 1982. Tra i suoi brani più famosi si ricordano "Total Eclipse", "Cold Song" e "The Right to Be Wrong". La sua carriera fu breve ma intensa, segnata da un'influenza significativa sulla musica underground degli anni '80. Nomi morì nel 1983 a causa di una malattia al sistema immunitario.
