Nazareth è un gruppo rock scozzese formatosi a Dunfermline nel 1969 dalle ceneri della band semi-professionale The Shadettes. Il gruppo, composto da Dan McCafferty (voce), Manny Charlton (chitarra), Pete Agnew (basso) e Darrell Sweet (batteria), ha raggiunto il successo dopo essersi trasferito a Londra e aver firmato un contratto discografico con Pegasus Records. Il loro album di debutto omonimo è uscito nel 1971, seguito da *Exercises* nel 1972.
