please come smile with me just one more time,
it won't get out of hand
keep doing what you're doing now,
I think I understand.
insight comes so fast sometimes,
with confusion in it's wake.
I dug and found fools gold again,
but saw through it way too late.
I saw through you way too late
you weren't far from me that time..
not so far from me
but it's been dying all this time...
you still mean the world to me
for seconds on end sometimes.
we talked until no more words were left
and the things we did were crimes.
why beautiful turned ugly then,
I still can't understand-
please look at me just one more time,
I can take it if you can
I can take it if you can
You weren't far from me that time
not so far from me
but it's been dying all this time
and now you're losing me
