Du temps d'la s'maine des jeudis,
Dans mon nuage au cœur des Tuileries
Y'avait un kiosque à musique extraordinaire,
Dessus, y'avait pas que d'la musique militaire.
Tiens! en fouillant dans ma tête,
Me reste encore une petite fête,
Un extraordinaire souvenir musical,
Il a vingt ans mais m'paraît tout à fait normal.
Sur le kiosque à musique, il y avait
Des bassons, des bassophones,
Des tubas, des saxophones Anglais,
Les pavillons des hélicons brillaient,
On aurait dit des ballons
Que le soleil éclatait.
Comme le chef était grand musicien,
Il savait mener ses hommes de main à la baguette,
Un p'tit coup sur l'alto,
Un p'tit coup sur l'baryton
Et tout ce monde à coups d'pistons
Pétait tonton, comme des tromblons.
Musique au cœur de la ville,
Bouquet de fleurs éphémère et fragile!
Fais résonner, encore une fois dans ma tête,
Tes notes jolies des jeudis jours de fêtes.
Mon père, si grand et si fier,
De tous les hommes, celui que je préfère,
M'avait monté sur ses épaules, jusqu'aux nuages,
Pour regarder dans les ophicléides en nage.
Tout le monde, sur la place,
Les grandes classes et même la populace,
Dansait, dansait sous des melons, des casquettes,
Tapotait le pavé d'un concert de claquettes.
Sur le kiosque à musique, il y avait
Des tambours, des gros balourds,
Des timbales, des cymbales à pédales.
Et carillons et glockenspiels pleuraient;
A force d'être battus,
Les pauvres, ils n'en pouvaient plus.
Comme le chef avait beaucoup d'entrain,
Il savait mener ses musiciens à la baguette,
Un p'tit coup sur l'batteur
Un coup sur l'percussionneur
Et tout ce monde tapait pépère
Sur leurs peaux comme des lavandières.
Musique, au cœur de la ville,
Bouquet de fleurs éphémère et fragile!
Fais résonner encore une fois dans ma tête
Tes notes jolies des jeudis jours de fête.
Depuis, j'ai changé de vie,
Goûté au charme des voyageries,
J'ai vibré pour la pop, le folk, le rock, le jazz
Pour poètes et chanteurs, j'ai frissonné d'extase.
Mais au fond de mes pensées,
Un souvenir reste bien accroché,
J'ai parfois tant besoin d'une douce évasion
Que je n'ai pu m'empêcher d'en faire chanson.
Sur le kiosque à musique il y avait,
Octobasses et contrebasses,
Violons et psaltérions Bretons.
Hautbois d'amour, piccolos, cors Anglais
Etripaient les partitions,
Réclamaient des ovations.
Comme le chef était de Landerneau,
Il savait mener ses musicos à la baguette,
Un p'tit coup sur l'violon,
Un p'tit coup sur l'violoncelle
Et tout ce monde, à coups de cordes,
A coups d'archets s'battait en duel.
