Pierfrancesco Sampaolo (Orvieto, 1976) is an Italian singer-songwriter. Growing up between the Umbrian countryside and Rome, he was influenced by Italian singer-songwriters like De Gregori, Battisti, Dalla and Vecchioni from a young age. At 16, he started playing his father's classical guitar, becoming passionate about grunge, blues and Italian folk music. In 1998, he formed the band Quinta Istanza in Turin, recording two albums with Bassa Frequenza of Michele Lasala. In 2002, he joined the Birragratis as a singer, collaborating with artists like Rocco Burtone. In 2004, he formed the duo Rumore Rosa with Ilaria Siliotto, recording the tracks “La Brezza” and “Viaggio di Ritorno”. After a period dedicated to radio, in 2007 he recorded a solo mini-album with SIFARE srl production. In 2008, he joined the Johnny's Band, collaborating on rock blues songs. In 2010, he formed the duo Brigitte Bordeaux with Maurizio Volpetti, performing at numerous festivals and venues. In 2012, he began a collaboration with Luca Carocci, who encouraged him to perform solo. His songs are characterized by direct and sincere lyrics, telling stories of travel, love and everyday life.
