Il Sogno della Crisalide nasce nel 2013 da poche idee, ma confuse, di Vladimiro Modolo, autore di musiche e testi. Deve il suo nome ad una rivista di psicologia e cultura intitolata "Il sogno della farfalla" dove il termine "Crisalide" rappresenta invece l'evoluzione continua della natura umana. Inizialmente, il suo sound si lega alla scena cantautorale di fine prima decade del nuovo millennio. Suona in tutti i principali locali di Roma. I citofoni. Ma non tutti gli aprono. Qualcuno si. Tra questi il Circolo degli Artisti, Wishlist Club, Init, Locanda Atlantide. Introduce con Garbo (ma non Greta) artisti tra cui Edda, Non Voglio che Clara, I sei ottavi. L'11 Settembre 2015, esce, in anteprima su repubblica.it il brano 'colpa della fame', ispirato alla vicenda di Stefano Cucchi con cui vince il premio nazionale Augusto Daolio come miglior testo. Partecipa ai primi tre memorial Stefano Cucchi condividendo il palco con artisti del calibro di Giancane, Muro del Canto e Mannarino. Un ormai lontanissimo 22 Marzo 2017, è uscito il primo disco intitolato 'Vie d'uscita'. Ad Ottobre 2020, in piena pandemia, per nulla intimorito, pubblica il singolo “Migliori di così?” con cui affronta il tema delicato dell'essere umano costretto a vivere in cattività a causa del Coronavirus. Si dedica poi anima e corpo alla realizzazione della sua seconda enorme fatica discografica, caratterizzata da un sound più elettronico, atmosfere vintage e testi impegnati ma sbarazzini. Alla produzione del disco, registrato presso il Natural Head Quarter studio di Ferrara, ha collaborato Manuele Fusaroli, produttore tra gli altri di Zen Circus, Nada, Luca Carboni e Teatro degli Orrori. Il 10 Novembre è uscito il suo nuovo singolo "Le tue scuse", brano dedicato alla fuga dei cervelli all'estero, presentato in pompa magna a Largo Venue a Roma, la settimana successiva. Presenta il brano anche all'interno della kermesse di Casa Sanremo 2024. L'uscita dell'album, edito Gallia Music, è prevista per l'autunno 2024 anticipato dal singolo “Ipocondria” il 5 Aprile 2024.
