Ich singe deutsch, so gut ich´s kann
und lieg sehr gern am Isarstrand,
und doch, mir fehlt es nun einmal,
das rechte Herz fürs Vaterland.
Jetzt rasen sie zum Ausverkauf,
die Wucherer und Makler und
das ganze Leichenschänderpack,
und tun sich groß und geben kund
und grölen von der alten Mär,
vom Wunder, das zu guter Letzt
nur ihnen hilft, und übrig bleibt
ein Volk: verraten, aufgehetzt.
Man müßte es behutsam und
besonnen pflegen, dieses Pfand -
ich weiß, schon gut, mir fehlt nun mal
das rechte Herz fürs Vaterland.
Und wo versteckt man heute die,
die kürzlich wirklich vorneweg
als neue klare Melodie
die Füße stemmten in den Dreck.
Wer hat das alles eingeheimst?
In welchen Schlund fiel diese Zeit,
fiel dieser viel zu kurze Herbst
der Wärme und der Einigkeit?
Was war das doch für ein Triumph,
als Mauern bröckelten zu Sand,
da hatte ich für kurze Zeit
ein Herz für dieses Vaterland.

ich hoff, du hältst, was man verspricht.

Na gut mir fehlt schon wieder mal
