Pete Seeger (1919-2014) was an American singer, musician, and activist renowned worldwide. Born in New York to a family of artists, Seeger distinguished himself for his powerful voice and social commitment. He began his career in the 1930s with folk groups like The Almanac Singers, promoting themes of social justice and fighting against injustices. During the 1950s, Seeger became a symbol of American folk music, influencing generations of artists with his direct and engaging style.
