The Social Distortion are a punk rock band formed in Orange County, California, in 1978. Considered among the most influential bands of the 1980s punk revival scene, they have managed to blend the energy of punk with elements of country and rockabilly, creating a unique and recognizable sound. The band is led by the charismatic Mike Ness, singer and guitarist, who has faced several personal difficulties during the band's career, including addictions and health problems.
