I suoi primi due album la consacrarono come icona pop e detennero diversi record, mentre i singoli ...Baby One More Time e Oops!... I Did It Again divennero hit internazionali. Nonostante la scarsa promozione, da esso vennero estratte le hit Gimme More e Piece of Me.
