Nel 1995 il cantautore Paolo Agosta (voce, pianoforte e chitarra) inizia a suonare con l'amico chitarrista Pierpaolo Mazzella. Tra i due c'è un ottimo feeling musicale e insieme creano il nucleo di quella che sarà la formazione degli Agosta. Nel 2000 Paolo firma il suo primo contratto discografico da solista con l'etichetta indie "Massive Arts Record". Insieme registrano i primi provini ed è con l'inizio della produzione che conoscono il chitarrista Fabrizio "Bicio" Grenghi, che entra a far parte del progetto. Nel 2005 esce il primo album da solista del fondatore "Nuove strade", (Sony Music-Massive Arts Record) lanciato in esclusiva da Fiorello a "Viva Radio 2". Partecipa al Piazzola Music Awards '05 al Teatro Municipale di Casale Monferrato (AL) dove interpreta il suo brano di rock progressive stile '70 "In my Heaven" insieme a Ostile e L'aura. Nel 2006, dopo il tour promozionale del disco, si aggiungono alla sezione ritmica Nando de Luca (basso) e Manuel Signoretto (batteria), che avevano già registrato due tracce del primo album. La matrice di stampo rock nella scrittura e negli arrangiamenti dei nuovi brani da parte del leader e l'intesa musicale con i membri del gruppo, rende naturale il passaggio da solista a band. Tutti i componenti vengono da una cultura musicale che vede alla radice band quali Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, U2, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead e Coldplay. Nel 2010 esce "Virus" il primo album della band, promosso da Rock Tv, da Federica Gentile su Rai Music e presentato da Sony Ericsson con il singolo e video "Mantide" all'interno della 68esima edizione del Festival del Cinema di Venezia. Tra il 2016 e il 2019 escono tre singoli "Come un fiore", "Il paradiso e l'inferno" e "Il viaggio". Questo nuovo progetto musicale è completamente autoprodotto dalla band tra il Bunker Home Studio e il Massive Arts Studio di Milano. Nel 2021 pubblicano con Daniele Babbini un ri-arrangiamento in chiave rock di "Libero Barabba", scritto dallo stesso Babbini, brano a tema sociale contro la violenza sulle donne. La clip, costruita con video contributi di personaggi del mondo della musica e della televisione, promossa in collaborazione con l'Associazione Scarpetta Rossa, ha ottenuto un grande successo superando le 130 mila view ed il brano è stato per 32 settimane (8 mesi) nei primi 50 posti della Classifica radio Indipendente Italiana.
