Mario Cafarelli (Portici, 29 ottobre 1974) è un musicista e compositore italiano. Sin da bambino coltiva la passione per la poesia, la musica e l'arte. Nel 1983 vince il premio di poesia Diodato Del Gaizo con "Portici". Inizia a studiare musica influenzato dalla scena musicale napoletana degli anni '80 e '90. Inizialmente percussionista e batterista, si evolve come chitarrista grazie all'insegnamento di Raffaele Cangiano e Vincenzo Cafarelli. Le sue influenze musicali includono Pino Daniele, De Crescenzo, James Senese e gli altri grandi artisti della Nuova Napoli. Nel 1985 fonda i Toledos Band con Agostini Martini ed Antonio del Gaizio, gruppo che si distingue per la giovane età dei componenti e la scrittura di brani inediti. Partecipa a Castrocaro nel 1990 e al Festival della Musica di autore di Napoli, ottenendo il premio critica per i migliori testi. Nel 1992 esordisce come autore al teatro Roma di Portici con una nuova band. Nel 1994 inizia la contaminazione americana del suo stile collaborando con la band jazz Station della U.S.A. Navy in La Maddalena (SS). Conosce il sassofonista jazz americano AL Melone, con cui inciderà i brani "Notorius" e "Stop me". Dal 1997 al 2001 collabora saltuariamente con Guido Lembo presso l'Anema e core di Capri. Nel 2000 fonda il "Laboratorio Musicale Partenopeo" con Vincenzo Gargiulo, scrivendo numerose partiture per commedie brillanti. Nel 2002 incide con gli Afric Free, gruppo nigeriano, il singolo "Wind". Nel 2003 collabora con Pietro Lanacaprina a Livorno per le musiche di "Il Pugno chiuso di Dio". Negli anni successivi collabora con artisti francesi ed italiani, suonando con l'orchestra sinfonica Scarlatti al "Concerto per l'epifania" presso l'Auditorium Rai di Napoli nel 2009. Nel 2012 inizia la collaborazione con Claudio Luongo e Salvatore Mignano che lo portano a produrre il suo nuovo lavoro discografico.
