musu, pseudonimo di Alessandro Musumeci, è nato il 1° maggio. Ha trascorso un'infanzia serena e felice, immerso nella musica grazie al padre, che un tempo conduceva un programma radiofonico locale, riempiendo la casa di dischi. Fin da giovane, si è appassionato al canto, scatenandosi sulle note di "Thriller" di Michael Jackson e scoprendo la sua vocazione ascoltando i Queen, in particolare la potente voce di Freddie Mercury. Durante gli anni delle medie, ha divertito sé stesso e i suoi compagni battendo i pugni sui banchi a tempo mentre cantava "We Will Rock You". A 16 anni ha composto il suo primo brano e ha formato una band, trovando nella sala prove il suo mondo. Con la band Warped Minds ha vissuto l'esperienza dei primi live, esibendosi con musica hard rock e mostrando una grinta indiscussa. La sua abilità vocale attirò l'attenzione di un chitarrista di un'altra band, coinvolgendolo in un progetto di inediti rock italiani. Successivamente, ha vissuto un periodo ricco di esibizioni a Milano e nell'hinterland. Dopo una pausa e alcune difficoltà economiche, ha acquistato un impianto audio con un amico, proponendosi nei locali per intrattenere il pubblico. Nonostante non fosse la sua aspirazione, questa attività gli permise di far fronte alle spese mensili. L'incontro con Davide, chitarrista della band Ondaretrò, ha segnato una svolta nella sua carriera. Insieme hanno composto e registrato l'album "I Labirinti Delle Muse" nel 2016. Nel frattempo, ha ottenuto il diploma in canto professionale presso la NAM di Milano. Durante la pandemia, la necessità di esprimere qualcosa di personale lo ha spinto a scrivere "Hai Scelto Me", che nel 2022 gli ha conferito un posto tra i primi 10 concorrenti del Premio Mia Martini. Questo successo è stato la spinta per pretendere di più dalla sua musica, cercando un suono e un'immagine diversi. Inizia così la collaborazione con il produttore Luca Rustici, dando vita a nuove canzoni scritte in collaborazione con Ivan Brunacci. Nasce così un nuovo capitolo nella sua carriera artistica sotto il nome d'arte musu con cui ha pubblicato il singolo "Bam Shabalam" lo scorso gennaio e ad aprile "Oltre I Miei Sogni".
