Vincent Grant Gill, known simply as Vince Gill, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Oklahoma City in 1957. He began his musical career in the 1970s as the frontman of Pure Prairie League, a country-rock band that achieved success with songs like "Amie". In 1989 he embarked on a solo career and has since released twenty albums, selling over 26 million copies worldwide.
