Whitesnake è un gruppo musicale hard rock britannico formatosi a Londra nel 1978. Fondato dal cantante David Coverdale, ex membro dei Deep Purple, la band ha attraversato diverse fasi stilistiche. Inizialmente il loro sound si avvicinava al blues rock dei Deep Purple, per poi evolversi verso un rock più accessibile e commerciale. Verso la fine degli anni '70 Whitesnake raggiunse il successo internazionale con album come *Ready an' Willing* (1980), *Come an' Get It* (1981), *Saints and Sinners* (1982) e *Slide It In* (1984).
