Alice öffnete ihre Lider – grelles Licht!
Auch wenn es nur das fahle Mondlicht war, welches in ihr Zimmer schien,
Fiel es ihren Augen doch sehr schwer, sich nach all der Zeit in tiefster Dunkelheit langsam wieder daran zu gewöhnen.
Da man sie im ersten Moment tot glaubte, hätte man ihren schwachen Herzschlag in jener Nacht, in der sie vor dem großen Spiegel zusammengebrochen war, beinahe nicht bemerkt. So lag sie nun aber in ihrem Bett; bis zu diesem Moment ohne Bewusstsein.
Seit eben dieser einen Nacht - vor nunmehr genau vier Jahren...
Alice versuchte, ihre schmerzenden Augen zu bewegen. Langsam wanderte ihr Blick die Decke ihres Zimmers entlang und an einer Wand hinunter.
Sie freute sich, neben einem Spiegel auf der Kommode ihre alte Spieluhr
Erkennen zu können. Doch zog sich diese plötzlich wie von Geisterhand auf...
Ihr Lächeln verflog wie im Nu vom Gesicht
Etwas war bei ihr, was wusste sie nicht.
Doch beim Blick in den Spiegel wurd ihr bald klar:
Es war die blasse Gestalt, die sie wieder dort sah.
Schon seit langer Zeit sitzt etwas tief in dir,
Hört dich atmen und schreit, lacht und weint mit dir
Könntest du ahnen was in deinem Kopf geschieht...
Du bist nie allein - allein mit dir, Alice!
Sie versuchte sich weiter aufzurichten, um aufzustehen, doch es war ihr anfangs kaum möglich ihren Körper auch nur wenige Zentimeter zu bewegen.
Immernoch alles verschwommen in ihren Augen, gelang es ihr nach einer ganzen Weile schließlich doch und so wankte und tastete sich das Mädchen durch den nur schwach erhellten Raum.
Sie zwang sich voran, ängstlich, Schritt für Schritt
Ihr Körper so schwach, er machte kaum mit.
Hin zum Spiegel dem Gesicht entgegen.
Es konnte nur dort eine Antwort geben.
Später wird man übereinkommen, Alice sei schwer krank, und wird sie unter starke Beruhigungsmittel stellen. Denn so pflegt man es stets zu handhaben, wenn jemand der Wahrheit zu nahe rückt...
Sie berührte den Spiegel: kalt war er nicht.
Es war nichts mehr zu sehen, auch nicht das Gesicht.
Vielleicht war es gut jetzt und alles vorbei.
Doch dann zerriss die Nacht ihr grässlicher Schrei.
