Guaco è una band venezuelana di musica tropicale formatasi a Maracaibo, nello stato Zulia, nel 1960. Inizialmente un gruppo tradizionale di Gaita, genere musicale folkloristico zuliano caratterizzato da ritmi marcati e percussioni, negli anni '70 Guaco ha intrapreso una nuova strada integrando la Gaita con elementi di Salsa (come arrangiamenti orchestrali complessi), violini e chitarre elettriche (strumenti inusuali in un gruppo di Gaita). Oggi il ritmo di Guaco continua a evolversi attraverso un mix complesso di Gaita, Salsa, Pop, Jazz, Funk e persino Rock and Roll e Vallenato, creando uno stile riconoscibile e unico considerato un punto di riferimento del genere. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: 'El Baile de la Cumbia', 'La Fiesta', 'Mi Tierra'.
