Dalida (Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti), born in Cairo on January 17, 1933 and died in Paris on May 3, 1987, was an Italian-born French singer and actress. Dalida also starred in several films, including "La Belle de nuit" (1958) and "The Day of the Owl" (1968). Her personal life was marked by ups and downs, between tormented loves and depression. In 1987 she committed suicide in Paris at the age of 54.
