George Harrison (Liverpool, February 25, 1943 – Los Angeles, November 29, 2001) was an English singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, actor, film and record producer. Known as one of the founding members and lead guitarist of The Beatles, Harrison made a significant contribution to 20th-century popular music.
