Daniele Moraca è un cantautore e poeta calabrese, nato a Cosenza. Laureato in Discipline delle Arti della Musica e dello Spettacolo all’Università della Calabria con una tesi su Rino Gaetano, è cultore di materia di antropologia culturale e docente di chitarra acustica e canto. La sua passione per la canzone d'autore lo ha portato ad analizzare i canti poetici musicali dal punto di vista antropologico. Moraca collabora con il gruppo OMG per la realizzazione delle musiche e con la cattedra di antropologia culturale dell'Università degli Studi di Arcavacata, Rende (Cs). Le sue canzoni, caratterizzate da un genere musicale caldo e mediterraneo, affrontano temi attuali e coinvolgenti come le problematiche giovanili, politiche e sociali, oltre all'amore. La sua attività musicale inizia negli anni '80 con la formazione del gruppo Kembò, con cui si esibisce in diverse piazze italiane. Moraca è noto per le sue performance da One man band, che lo hanno portato a esibirsi in città italiane ed internazionali come Torshavn (Faroe Island), Vancouver (Canada), Bruxelles, Parigi e Baden Baden (Germania). Nel 1984 pubblica il suo primo album, “L’aquila e la nuvola”, che rispecchia la sua sensibilità nel raccontare storie quotidiane con semplicità e naturalezza. Attualmente è proprietario di uno studio di registrazione e scuola di musica: il COTTON CLUB STUDIO, e direttore artistico musicale della galleria d'arte Terrain Vague (Cs).
