Michele Caparezza, nato a Molfetta nel 1973, è un cantautore e rapper italiano noto per il suo stile musicale originale e le sue liriche spesso ironiche e provocatorie. Figlio di una maestra e di un operaio musicista, inizia a comporre canzoni fin da bambino. Dopo aver studiato ragioneria e pubblicità, abbandona la carriera universitaria per dedicarsi alla musica. Inizialmente si esibisce come rapper con il nome d'arte Mikimix, partecipando a festival musicali come Castrocaro e Sanremo Giovani.
