Der Mensch hat sich die Erde längst untertan gemacht.
Mit Feuer, Schwert und Bombe hat er sie überwacht.
Was kümmert uns die Zukunft, wir beichten im Gebet:
"Verzeih' mir meine Habgier, denn mein ist der Planet!"
Wir predigen die Liebe und führen täglich Krieg.
Wir kämpfen nicht für Ziele, nur für den eig'nen Sieg.
Wir sagen nicht mehr "Bitte!", wir schreien nur "Ich will!"
Die halbe Welt verhungert, die halbe Welt hält still!

denn was soll schon passier'n?
