Statik Selektah, real name Patrick Baril, is an American DJ, record producer, and radio host born in New York City in 1980. Considered one of the pillars of the underground American hip hop scene, Statik Selektah stands out for his production style characterized by vintage samples and old-school beats with jazz and funk influences. His musical career began in the 1990s as a DJ in New York clubs, collaborating with emerging artists in the hip hop landscape.
