Nocte Obducta was a German dark ambient/doom metal band active from 1995. The group was known for its dark and melancholic atmosphere, characterized by drone sounds and gothic influences. Among their most notable albums are *Galgendämmerung: Von Nebel, Blut und Totgeburten*, *Stille: Das nagende Schweigen* and *Taverne: In Schatten schabiger Spelunken*. Nocte Obducta disbanded in 2004.
