The Academy Is... sono stati un gruppo alternative rock/emo-pop statunitense originario di Barrington, Illinois, un sobborgo di Chicago. Fondati nel 2003, la band ha inizialmente utilizzato il nome "The Academy", ma nel 2004 hanno aggiunto il suffisso "Is...". per evitare controversie legali con altri gruppi musicali che utilizzavano lo stesso nome.
