Wo zwei Menschen innig lieben
Fällt die Saat auf satten Boden
Will es in den Armen wiegen
Nicht nur sein Wachsen loben
Ich hielt mich stets und weise
Hab es einfach nicht gewusst
Fürs Leben brauchst du beide Gleise
Vaters Kraft und Mutters Brust
Gib die Hoffnung niemals auf
Es wird schon werden
Die Dinge nehmen ihren Lauf
Es wird schon werden
Du bist mein Glück auf Erden
Für dich kämpf ich wie ein Tier
Du allein sollst es erben
Darum gehe ich vor dir
Als mich die inneren Stimmen riefen
Wird mir unter Tränen klar
lausch den Sinnen die Jahrzehnte schliefen
Meine Lippen küssen dein Haar
Wenn der Blick zu Klarheit reift
Die kleine Hand meine Finger greift
Mit dir daran gedeihen
Kann dir jetzt schon alles verzeihen.
Einfach nur dich anzusehen,
Statt mein Leben rückwärts drehen
Macht es Leicht vor dir zu gehen
Dich will ich nicht sterben sehen!
Gib die Hoffnung niemals auf
Es wird schon werden
Die Dinge nehmen ihren Lauf
Es wird schon werden
In Extremo is a German medieval metal band originating from Berlin. The band's musical style combines metal with medieval traditional songs, blending the sound of the standard rock/metal instruments with historical instruments (such as the bagpipes, harp, hurdy-gurdy and shawm). Versions of well-known traditional/medieval ballads make up the main part of their repertoire, but the band has written an increasing share of original material in recent years. Their own material is written in German, whilst the traditional songs are in a variety of languages, including Gaelic, Spanish, English, Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, French, Estonian, Hebrew, Latin, Occitan, Old High German. Some of their most representative songs include: *'Mittelalterschlager*' , *'Komm, süßer Tod*' , *'In Extremo'*, *'Edda'* .
