Drum nehmt es mir nicht allzu krumm,

weil mancher Mensch zu seinem Leid
speziell im Sumpf ganz gut gedeiht.
Zwar gilt heut nicht als rechter Mann,
wer seine Schwächen zeigen kann,
doch Mann und Recht, ich glaube fast,
daß das nicht gut zusammenpaßt.
Und drum probier ich´s weiterhin
mit der Moral nach meinem Sinn,
denn wie uns die Geschichte lehrt,
war die des Rechtes oft verkehrt.
Und ists auch nicht ganz angenehm,
und stünd ich ganz allein -
ich möchte wieder widerstehn
und weiterhin verwundbar sein.
