Jimmy caminaba por el bosque sin pensar
sus pasos resonaban como bomba al explotar
se acostó tras de un árbol para tarde comprobar
que un oso estaba detrás.
Con la lengua afuera el pobre Jimmy se escapó
descendió por la ladera que más cerca divisó
cuando era tarde para exhalar se tropezó
colina abajo cayó.
Vueltas y golpes y giros después
varias serpientes rodaban con él.

Una gran idea tuvo Jimmy al comprender
que cazar resultaba peligroso para él:
se marchó hacia el lago donde el pobre imaginó
que pescar se le daría mejor.
Se acercó a la orilla y con la caña se sentó
el cañón del rifle sobre el pie derecho apoyó
un enorme cocodrilo paseaba por allí
lo vio muy tarde venir.
Muerto de miedo intentó disparar
y de los nervios se dio en el pulgar.

Con el pie derecho ensangrentado decidió
dolorido y humillado como carne de cañón
que la cosa aun podia ir muchísimo peor
y al bar del pueblo marchó.
Ya le conocían los borrachos del lugar
por su mala punteria cuando iba a vomitar
cada noche escogía un lugar aun peor
que el de la noche anterior.

Jolgorio con cualquiera menos con él.
