Fabrizio De André (Genova, 18 febbraio 1940 – 27 gennaio 1999) è stato uno dei cantautori italiani più influenti e originali del XX secolo. Figlio di una famiglia borghese genovese, De André si avvicinò alla musica fin da giovane, influenzato da artisti come Brassens e il jazz. Dopo un periodo di studio universitario interrotto, iniziò a esibirsi nei locali genovesi insieme ad amici come Tenco e Bindi. Il suo primo album, "La canzone del sole", uscì nel 1967 e segnò l'inizio di una carriera straordinaria.
