Michel Sardou (born Michel Patrick Charles Sardou on January 15, 1947, in Paris) is a highly successful French singer-songwriter known for his powerful voice and songs often characterized by patriotic, romantic, or social themes. After a musical education that began with piano lessons, he debuted as a singer in the 1960s, gaining popularity with songs like "La Maladie d'amour" (1972) and "Le Chant du Mal-Aimé" (1973). Throughout his career, Sardou has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Among his most important albums are "Les Lacs du Connemara" (1986), "Je Vole" (1992) and "Le Cœur des Hommes" (2003). Besides music, Sardou has also acted in several films and theatrical productions. He is considered one of the greatest French artists of all time.
