Tu es beau dans ton smoking When the saints come marching in

Dalida (Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti), born in Cairo on January 17, 1933 and died in Paris on May 3, 1987, was an Italian-born French singer and actress. Considered one of the greatest voices of the 20th century, she sold over 170 million records worldwide. Dalida began her musical career in the 1950s, singing Italian and French songs. Her international success came with the album "Salomé" (1968), which included the song "Bambino", a global classic. Dalida collaborated with some of the greatest composers of the time, including Charles Aznavour, Luigi Tenco and Ennio Morricone. Her music ranged from pop to jazz, passing through operetta and French chanson. Among her most famous songs are "Ciao amore ciao", "Parlez-moi d'amour" and "J'ai encore rêvé d'elle". Dalida also starred in several films, including "La Belle de nuit" (1958) and "The Day of the Owl" (1968). Her personal life was marked by ups and downs, between tormented loves and depression. In 1987 she committed suicide in Paris at the age of 54.
