Dante Spinetta è un rapper argentino nato a Buenos Aires nel 1974. Iniziò a dedicarsi alla musica rap all'età di quattordici anni. Nel 1990 formò il duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas con Emmanuel Horvilleur, con cui registrò sette album, ottenendo numerosi premi e diversi dischi d'oro e platino. Tra i brani più ricordati del gruppo figurano «Es tuya Juan», «Abarajame» e «Coolo». Dopo dieci anni di carriera, la band si sciolse e entrambi gli artisti intraprendono carriere soliste. Nel 2002 Spinetta pubblicò il suo primo album solista, *Elevado*, con cui ottenne un discreto successo. Nel 2007 uscì *El Apagón*, che incorporava elementi di reggaeton al rap e hip-hop. Tra gli ospiti del disco figurano Julieta Venegas e Tony Touch. Spinetta ha collaborato anche con artisti come Julieta Venegas, C-Funk e ha partecipato a programmi televisivi come *La Zona de Combate* su MTV Latinoamérica.
