Salmo, pseudonimo di Maurizio Pisciotta, è un rapper italiano nato a Sassari nel 1987. Considerato uno dei principali esponenti del rap underground italiano, Salmo ha raggiunto grande successo con la sua musica caratterizzata da testi introspettivi e spesso oscuri, influenzati dal genere trap e dalla cultura hip hop americana. La sua carriera musicale è iniziata negli anni 2000 con l'uscita di mixtape indipendenti, per poi passare a collaborazioni con artisti come Marracash e Gué Pequeno.
