Franco Califano (Roma, 8 luglio 1939 – Roma, 14 agosto 2013) è stato un cantautore e attore italiano. Considerato uno dei cantautori più importanti della musica italiana, Califano ha segnato la scena musicale degli anni '60 e '70 con il suo stile unico che mescolava elementi di rock, pop e canzone d'autore. Nato a Roma da una famiglia modesta, Califano iniziò la sua carriera come cantante in locali romani prima di essere notato da un produttore discografico. Il suo debutto discografico avvenne nel 1965 con l'album "Franco Califano", che conteneva il brano "Non ho paura". Califano raggiunse il successo nazionale negli anni '70 con brani come "Tutto resto e noia", "La mia casa è in cielo", "Neve, il cielo, l'immenso" e "Tac". Oltre alla musica, Califano ha recitato in diversi film e programmi televisivi. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi musicisti italiani, tra cui Lucio Battisti e Gino Paoli. La sua musica è stata influenzata da artisti come Bob Dylan e Joan Baez. Califano è stato un artista controverso, noto per le sue posizioni politiche e sociali. La sua musica ha spesso affrontato temi di protesta e denuncia sociale. È morto a Roma nel 2013 all'età di 74 anni.
