Gianni Negri, vero nome Giovanni Sambiase nasce a Napoli il 13 giugno del 1980. Muove i suoi primi passi nella musica giovanissimo, spinto dalla madre cantante da cui prende il cognome per farne il suo nome d’arte. Studia Canto e Solfeggio e suona Pianoforte e Chitarra. Partecipa a numerosi concorsi ed eventi canori riscontrando numerosi successi. Scrive la sua prima canzone all’età di 17 anni, dal titolo “Vivo di Te” brano dedicato alla musica, e da quel momento racconterà le sue emozioni attraverso le sue canzoni. Tutto ha inizio quando all’età di 16 anni vince un concorso canoro giovani regionale “Concorso Eubea” interpretando “Cambiare” di Alex Baroni, ad oggi un suo cavallo di battaglia. Dagli anni 2000 comincia a suonare in diversi locali partenopei sia come pianobar sia come frontman di diversi gruppi musicali. È stato voce nel gruppo vocale “Angeli Metropolitani” guidato da Gianfranco Caliendo ex voce e chitarrista del Giardino dei Semplici, portando in giro per l’Italia diversi spettacoli gospel e nel 2003 con il brano “Solitudine” partecipano alla finale del Festival di San Marino.
