Guaco è una band venezuelana di musica tropicale formatasi a Maracaibo, nello stato Zulia, nel 1960. Inizialmente un gruppo tradizionale di Gaita, genere musicale folkloristico zuliano caratterizzato da ritmi marcati e percussioni, negli anni '70 Guaco ha intrapreso una nuova strada integrando la Gaita con elementi di Salsa (come arrangiamenti orchestrali complessi), violini e chitarre elettriche (strumenti inusuali in un gruppo di Gaita).
