Biography

Andrea Rana nasce a Lodi il 14 Luglio 1976. Inizia a scrivere poesie da giovanissimo e, più recentemente, fiabe e racconti. Appassionato da sempre di musica, nel 1996 dà vita al progetto Erie, gruppo scioltosi due anni dopo, ma che raggiunge l’apice nel 1997 con la pubblicazione del brano originale “Dea”, inserito in una compilation realizzata e prodotta dalla Provincia di Lodi. Dal 2000, Andrea inizia il suo percorso solista, incidendo diversi brani ed EP, esclusivamente ed interamente autoprodotti. Parallelamente al progetto solista, dal 2000 al 2003, diventa il frontman della cover band Almida. Dopo anni di inattività pressoché assoluta, tra il 2009 ed il 2010 scrive e registra i brani “Ancora tutto da rifare” e “Poco chiara”, distribuiti online dall’etichetta Primula Records. Da quel momento, riprende la sua attività di scrittura e pubblicazione di singoli, affiancata alla partecipazione di svariati Concorsi e Premi, nei quali si classifica sempre sul podio, vincendo anche la prima edizione di "Talent Factory" con il brano "Un'altra vita". Dopo nuove release, a Novembre 2019 esce l’EP “Mondi e Isole”, composto da 7 brani inediti e ricco di collaborazioni. Dal disco sono stati estratti tre brani: “Passarei anche tu” (accompagnato dal videoclip ufficiale, che vede come protagonista la giovane e talentuosa attrice Alessandra de Luca), la title track “Mondi e Isole” (sempre accompagnato dal videoclip, realizzato con filmati ceduti gratuitamente da un regista di San Pietroburgo, “CottonBro”) ed il nuovo “Da un angolo all’altro”, totalmente riarrangiato rispetto alla versione originale contenuta nell’EP ed accompagnato dal lyric video realizzato da Reesha Muhammad, video grapich artist che vive in Pakistan. A gennaio 2021 esce il quarto estratto, “I mostri di Minecraft”, scritto a qauttro mani con la cantautrice milanese Amelie e il producer Giovanni Rosina. Il lyric video che accompagna la release, è firmato da Alan Cariani. Nel Marzo del 2022, approda in tutti i digital store “Immagini Dal Mondo”, bano rilasciato in doppia versione, italiana e spagnola (sotto il titolo “Ímagenes Desde el Mundo”), accompagnato dai due differenti videoclip ufficiali, entrambi diretti da Mauro Nigro - aiuto regia Maurizio Sala - e girati nella meravigliosa cornice dei Calchi di Cutro (KR), liberamente ispirate alla pellicola statunitense di Todd Phillips, vincitrice del Golden Globe 2010, “Una notte da leoni”.
