Il multiplie alors ses apparitions sur scène tant en France qu’à l’étranger. Véritable performer, il enchante le public martiniquais lors du tour des Yoles. En2008,participant àl’émissionZoukamine diffuséesurla chaine locale martiniquaise ATV,il évoquepourla première fois sa volonté de travailler enfin sur unprojet personnel et plus important telqu'un album. Aprèsuntempsderéflexionsurlatrajectoirequepourraitprendresacarrière musicale, àpartirde2012 Doctor Ly se lance dansla production indépendante. Il sort Double face la même année et poursuit avec la sortie d’au moins un single par an. En 2018, toujours dans cette volonté de mettre en avant cette association reggae dancehall et musiques urbaines du moment ; il sort son EP Lourd et puis deux ans plus tard en 2020 son premier album « Solo ». Encouragé par le succès d’estime rencontré par ces différents projets il revient en 2022 avec un nouvel Ep : Light sorti le 22 mai. Date hautement symbolique car commémorant l’abolition de l’esclavage en Martinique.
