Alessia Tondo è una cantautrice italiana di origini pugliesi, considerata una delle voci più importanti del panorama musicale regionale. Iniziò a cantare sin da piccola, collaborando con il gruppo salentino Mera Menhir insieme alla nonna. A soli pochi anni, venne lanciata dai Sud Sound System nel brano "Le radici ca tieni", iniziando un percorso di collaborazione che la vide protagonista in concerti e trasmissioni televisive come "Rock Politik" su Rai 1 e "Parla con me" su Rai 3. A tredici anni entrò nell'Orchestra della Notte della Taranta come solista, duettando con ospiti illustri come Mauro Pagani, Ambrogio Sparagna, Ludovico Einaudi, Goran Bregovic, Giovanni Sollima, Phil Manzanera, Carmen Consoli e Raphael Gualazzi. Dal 2006 al 2011 partecipò a vari appuntamenti dell'Orchestra Popolare Italiana diretta da Ambrogio Sparagna, condividendo il palco con Peppe Servillo, Simone Cristicchi e Idan Raichel. Nel 2006 fondò il gruppo Triace, il cui album fu prodotto da Elena Ledda e S?ard Music. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti di grande prestigio come i Radiodervish (nel brano "Yara" per l'album "L'immagine di te"), Michele Lobaccaro (nel brano "Donna di frontiera" per l'album "Messa Laica", dedicato a Don Tonino Bello), e Ludovico Einaudi, per il quale ha scritto il testo del celebre brano "Nuvole bianche". Nel 2012 debuttò al 58° Festival Internazionale di Musica Contemporanea della Biennale di Venezia con l'opera da camera "Il Naufragio" di Admir Shkurtaj. Dal 2015 fa parte del Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, gruppo vincitore nel 2018 del prestigioso Songlines Music Awards come miglior gruppo di world music.
