Alessia Tondo è una cantautrice italiana di origini pugliesi, considerata una delle voci più importanti del panorama musicale regionale. Iniziò a cantare sin da piccola, collaborando con il gruppo salentino Mera Menhir insieme alla nonna. A soli pochi anni, venne lanciata dai Sud Sound System nel brano "Le radici ca tieni", iniziando un percorso di collaborazione che la vide protagonista in concerti e trasmissioni televisive come "Rock Politik" su Rai 1 e "Parla con me" su Rai 3. A tredici anni entrò nell'Orchestra della Notte della Taranta come solista, duettando con ospiti illustri come Mauro Pagani, Ambrogio Sparagna, Ludovico Einaudi, Goran Bregovic, Giovanni Sollima, Phil Manzanera, Carmen Consoli e Raphael Gualazzi. Dal 2006 al 2011 partecipò a vari appuntamenti dell'Orchestra Popolare Italiana diretta da Ambrogio Sparagna, condividendo il palco con Peppe Servillo, Simone Cristicchi e Idan Raichel. Nel 2006 fondò il gruppo Triace, il cui album fu prodotto da Elena Ledda e S?ard Music.
