chi tiene l'uccello è pregato di uscir fuori"
A tali parole tutti gli uomini presenti
Lasciarono la chiesa senza fare commenti
Ma conscio dell'equivoco il prete li fermò:
"tornate pure dentro che più chiaro sarò,
mi sono espresso male perché volevo dire
chi ha preso l'uccello è pregato di uscire"
In punta di piedi e con la faccia sorpresa
Ogni donna si alza e abbandona la chiesa
E subito il prelato che vuole riparare
Grida ancora alle donne "dovete rientrare!
Mi dite cosa avete al posto del cervello
Ho messo alla porta chi ha preso l'uccello
Ma io mi rivolgo e non vedo l'offesa
Soltanto a chi l'uccello l'ha preso in chiesa"
A testa bassa per coprire il rossore
Si avviano all'uscita quasi tutte le suore
E solo la badessa passando piano piano
Fa un gesto di minaccia al biondo sagrestano
Il prete furibondo e un po' di malumore
Ripete ancora "ferme, rientrino le suore
E per l'ultima volta vorrei che si allontani
Chi tiene l'uccellino nascosto fra le mani!"
Una nonna col nipote 4 anni o poco più
In preda alla vergogna divenne tutta blu
"Padre scusate, quello voleva fa 'o pipì
gli stringo l'uccellino se no ve la fa qui".
