Avantgarde Metal e Teatro Il progetto Ideogram si forma alla fine del 2012 con l'intento di unire una proposta musicale sperimentale e innovativa con una forte arte visiva concettuale, riunendo i migliori elementi della scena underground nord italiana sotto un'unica nuova ambiziosa creatura. A inizio 2013 la band rilascia il demo "Raise The Curtain" e il videoclip "Theatre of the Absurd", che aprono la strada al tour italiano e alle ottime recensioni che lo accompagneranno, per poi firmare alla fine dello stesso anno con Wormhole Death Records per la realizzazione del primo full lenght, "Life Mimics Theatre", che mostra un sound piu moderno ed elettronico rispetto al precedente lavoro. I temi portanti di quest'opera sono il Teatro, metafora dell'esistenza, e la mente umana nei suoi mille aspetti e maschere. A sua volta, ogni elemento del gruppo rappresenta uno stile teatrale e una caratteristica psicologica: insieme rappresentano la totalità della vita, dell'essere umano, cosi come 4 segni possono formare un ideogramma dal più alto valore simbolico. Cosa succede quando la maschera cade? Cosa accadrebbe se le parti piu nascoste del nostro essere venissero a galla e incontrassero la maschera che abbiamo indossato per anni? L'essere umano è uno e centomila, è contraddittorio e molteplice, e in questo caso parla con 3 differenti voci: una è ufficiale, apparentemente dolce e innocente, le altre due sono oscure, mostruose e vengono dagli abissi piu neri dell'anima, sputando violenza. Ma l'apparenza spesso inganna? Ogni cosa qui è allegorica e ambigua, le tematiche sono introspettive, si cerca l'essenza dell'essere umano e i suoi segreti piu oscuri, in un viaggio senza ritorno dove la musica ci accompagna senza limiti o confini, semplicemente scorre libera e inarrestabile, scuotendo le viscere degli ascoltatori. L'Ideogramma 人 Ideogramma: un simbolo ottenuto dall'unione di piu segni, apparentemente senza significato, la cui somma da vita a qualcosa dal più alto valore concettuale. Togliendo anche solo una di queste parti, il significato del tutto cambia radicalmente. La stessa cosa vale per gli esseri umani: ogni persona, infatti, è una complessa creatura composta da diverse anime e personalità, piu o meno coscienti, alcune delle quali talmente oscure che la nostra mente rifiuta di accettarle e le nasconde sotto pesanti maschere. L'Ideogramma人 ha esattamente questo significato: "essere umano". Ciò che vogliamo è trovare la nostra vera natura e liberarla, per quanto oscura e shockante possa essere.
