Michał Szpak nasce a Jaslo in Polonia il 26 Novembre 1990. Grazie ai genitori sin da piccolo si trova a vivere in un ambiente artistico dove la musica e la recitazione influenzano la sua creatività e la passione per il canto. Purtroppo lo scorso anno è scomparsa la madre e Michal ha dedicato a lei il suo ultimo cd. Ha due sorelle e un fratello: Ewa, Marlena, Damien. Marlena la sorella maggiore, è Soprano Lirico vive da molti anni qui in Italia. Michal Szpak a 9 anni si esibisce su un vero palcoscenico, per la prima volta, ha ricevuto il primo premio nel concorso Young Talents. I suoi artisti preferiti sono i Queen, Dawid Bowie, Czesław Niemen cantautore. Al liceo Michał entra a fare parte del gruppo hard rock i Whiplash , fondato da Kamil Czapla. Del 2011 ha partecipato alla prima edizione della versione polacca di X Factor presentandosi alle audizioni cantando ''Dziwny jest ten świat'' di Czesław Niemen, ha cantato in duetto con Aleksandra Burke ha raggiunto la finale al secondo posto . A seguito delle sue performance a Xfactor ha ricevuto un premio speciale è stato invitato il 17 giugno 2011 all' ''Orange Warsaw Festival'' dove si è esibito prima di famosi cantanti come Skunk Anansie e Moby. Ha Cantato tre canzoni dal repertorio di Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns'n'Roses e Lenny Kravitz. (vedi Box video). Il 13 dicembre è uscito il suo EP (extended play) intitolato *''XI'' brani: ''Pretty Baby'' ''Rewolucja'' ''Po niebo'' ''Muszę biec'' ''Sensualny'' (*nota XI fa rieferimento alla numerologia) Nell'estate del 2013 ha partecipato al Festival della canzone Russa a Zielona Gora dove la sua performance del classico ''Oči čërnye'' ''Occhi Neri'' lo ha portato a vincere il primo premio. Nel 2015 ha partecipato al Festivla di Opole ha vinto il primo premio con la canzone ''Jesteś bohaterem'' versione inglese ''Real Hero'', ha anticipato l'album di debutto di Michał, ''Byle być sobą'', pubblicato il 13 novembre 2015 attraverso l'etichetta discografica Sony Music Poland, prodotto dalla Musicart. Il disco contiene 12 canzoni stilisticamente diverse, che riflettono i gusti musicali dell'artista per il sound degli anni '80 e '90 e anche il suo amore per la musica sinfonica. In seguito alla vittoria della preselezione Nazionale, ha rappresentato la Polonia all' Eurovision song contest 2016 con la canzone ''Color of your life''. Ha poi ottenuto 3 dischi di platino per la canzone ''Color of your life'' e 1 disco di platino per l'album ''Byle być sobą'' Michał ha partecipato al Festival di Opole (simile al Festival di Sanremo) nel 2016, Ha vinto Grand Prix Opole D'oro inoltre con "Byle Byc Soba"(Just yourself) ha vinto il premio Super Artista dell?
