Mortification is an Australian Christian extreme metal band. As one of the first and most successful Christian extreme metal bands in the world they serve as inspiration for many of today's Christian metal bands. The group was formed in 1990 from the ashes of Christian power metal band Lightforce by Steve Rowe, Cameron Hall and Jayson Sherlock.
